Radon Mitigation Inspection - Radon Sniffer at a System Inspection

I was called out to inspect a system in Buford, GA. The homebuyer had a radon test and the radon level was 14 pCi/L. The home inspector identified a radon mitgiation system and noted that the system was off. It turned out that the system didn't have a fan or a vent stack on the outside. I didn't know if it was abandoned or never completed. There was a hole in the floor so I used my radon sniffer to see how much radon was coming from the soil below the slab.

The radon sniffer is a great tool for identifying hot spots and troubleshooting systems that are not performing.
