Original Extraction Points
These are the original extraction points for the existing system. Each "chamber," or area where there's some kind of separation in the foundation, needs its own tap for a successful mitigation. You can see the new U tube manometer, the J shaped red line on the pipe, that demonstrates appropriate suction after our technician worked on the system.
New Extraction Point
The white pipe with a 90 degree bend is pulling soil gases out from a newly cored extraction point our technician added to the system. The need for an additional tap was discovered through Pressure Field Extension (PFE) testing, which involves drilling holes far away from each other and measuring communication, i.e. suction and airflow extending underneath the whole slab to capture radon.
New extraction point patched into old system
We can see where our technician ran pipe along the ceiling above the ductwork and patched the new suction pit into the original system.

Another view of the pipe's pathway along the ceiling. Georgia Radon Defense is very mindful of installing with a low profile for minimal intrusion and easy enclosure if the space is ever finished in the future.
New Fan
Our technician installed a new, appropriately sized fan to pull radon out from the three extraction points in the foundation. This home has an interior system with the fan mounted in the attic and the radon vented out the roof. This is a great configuration for homeowners who don't want visible components on the exterior of their home.
