A customer in Atlanta wanted to lower radon levels and improve overall indoor air quality by installing an Energy Recovery Ventilator, or ERV. An ERV patches into a home's HVAC system to constantly introduce filtered fresh air from the outside while exhausting stale indoor air outdoors. It uses a powered exchange core to reduce the energy loss to the system by pre-conditioning the incoming air before it enters the home's main ducts. Here we can see the ERV vents discreetly installed on the side of the home as the work was being completed-- please pardon our ladder!
