In Gainesville, GA, a homeowner discovered elevated radon levels and wanted a long-term solution that wouldn’t compromise the home’s exterior appearance, so they turned to Georgia Radon Defense for their reputation, licensed expertise, and attention to detail. Before mitigation, radon gas was entering through the foundation; after a professionally designed exterior aesthetic system, the home now benefits from reduced radon levels and a cleaner, safer indoor environment. The team evaluated the property on-site, performed pressure field extension testing, selected the most effective depressurization method, and installed a weather-protected fan housing for both durability and curb appeal, followed by a third-party post-mitigation test for peace of mind. If you’re concerned about radon in your home, take the first step toward healthier indoor air—schedule your radon mitigation consultation with Georgia Radon Defense today.
Not the best before and after photos but we didn't have a lot of room to move around.
Our client was selling their home and had to get a radon mitigation system installed quickly so their buyer didn't walk away from the transaction.
It takes a lot of work to get a home under contract and it is important to have a radon mitigation company that is responsive when a buyer discovers high levels in a home they are purchasing.
If you are buying or selling a home when high radon levels are discovered, give us a call. We were able to reduce the levels in this home to below 0.4 pCi/L so the buyers could move forward with confidence. We also provided a 10 year transferrable warranty on the system.

If you are concerned with the radon level in your home, give us a call today. Remember that the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L does not determine if your home is safe. There is no safe level of radon. The World Health Organization set their action level at 2.7 pCi/L and the EPA also recommends considering mitigation if your levels are between 2.0 and 4.0 pCi/L
Charlene was selling her home and the buyers had a radon test completed during their due diligence period. The results were 8.4 pCi/L and they terminated their contract.
We never recommend terminating a real estate contract over elevated levels of radon. Radon can be easily mitigated to a normal level of exposure and a sub-slab depressurization system will improve the indoor air quality of a home. A home with a radon mitigation system has better indoor air quality, and lower risk of mold in the basement.
We were able to install a mitigation system and reduce the levels below 2.0 pCi/L.
If you are selling your home and potential buyers discover dangerous levels of radon in your home, call Georgia Healthy Homes and we will provide you a fast solution to save your transaction.
