Georgia Radon Poster Contest 2025
Georgia Radon Defense is proud to once again support the Georgia Radon Poster Contest, an annual initiative that empowers young Georgians to use their creativity to raise awareness about the dangers of radon.
Educating Through Art
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted, yet it is one of the leading causes of lung cancer. Educating families about radon and the importance of testing homes is essential—and what better way to spread awareness than through the voices and creativity of our youth?
This contest invites students ages 9–14 to design posters that highlight the harmful effects of radon and encourage others to take action. It’s a fun and educational way for kids to learn about environmental health while making a positive impact on their communities.
Prizes and Recognition
To celebrate the creativity and effort of participants, Georgia Radon Defense is sponsoring the contest prizes:
-
First Place: $100
-
Second Place: $75
-
Third Place: $50
Winning posters will not only earn cash prizes but may also be featured in future radon awareness campaigns.

Participants can submit their artwork along with the submission form by November 3, 2025. Entries can be sent via email to [email protected] or mailed to:

Why It Matters
The Georgia Radon Poster Contest is more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity to start conversations at home and in classrooms about radon risks and the importance of testing. By encouraging the next generation to share this message, we’re helping to create healthier, more informed communities.
Georgia Radon Defense is honored to sponsor this program and invest in both education and community well-being.
Get Involved
If you know a student between the ages of 9 and 14, encourage them to participate! Their creativity could make a real difference in spreading awareness about radon.
